Last week Governor Burgum amended his Executive Order 2020-43.4 allowing event venues to increase their capacity.  The full article can be read here: https://ndresponse.gov/news/burgum-signs-order-officially-increasing-capacity-limits-restaurants-bars-and-event-venues

For us at West Fargo Hockey this means that we, in conjunction with the West Fargo Sports Arena and the West Fargo Park District, will be eliminating the two spectators per player limit at games only for both home and visiting teams. This does not include practices.

Children will need to remain with their guardians at all times.  No running around in the rinks.

Locker rooms: It seems some Coaches have been having players arrive 30 minutes prior to their games.  This will be the updated policy so all Home and Visiting teams may arrive no more than 30 minutes before game time.

Team Managers should research all facility requirements and ensure their team is notified in advance.  Compliance with other facilities and State COVID procedures is required.  We will also go back to four people for box duties for the travel teams.

We will still be imposing our remaining COVID procedures that we have had in place for the majority of the season.  These include:

  • No parents at travel team practices
  • Travel team players can only arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled practice and should depart within 15 minutes after
  • One parent per player at non-travel practices
  • Non-travel teams need to come to the rink dressed
  • Players must wear a mask in all facilities until their helmet is on
  • Continued mandatory mask wearing by spectators in the rink and remember to be socially distant
  • Coaches need to wear masks in the locker rooms and on the ice

As has been all season, please report any COVID related diagnosis/quarantine on our COVID reporting link: https://westfargohockey.sportngin.com/register/form/299010956

We appreciate your compliance and ability to adjust to the ebbs and flows of the ever changing guidelines.
