New Recommendation

The Board of Directors has approved the usage of neck guards for all players and goalies effective October 1, 2019 for the 2019-2020 season.

Neck Guard Definition: Neck guards are specifically designed by the manufacturer to protect the neck.  The guard is used to prevent injury to the neck from pucks, hockey sticks and skate blades.  They are clearly labeled as such. There are the shirt type or the band type that attach with velcro.

Players should wear neck guards for all on ice activities. Neck guards must be worn according to the manufacturers specifications. They must fit properly, not be oversized, pushed down, unzipped, rolled over, taped or in any way altered.

Arm bands, head bands, plain turtle necks and moc turtle necks are not neck guards.

There are a variety of neck guards available at a wide range of prices.  Many of the hockey stores in town will be stocking them as both West Fargo and Fargo have approved this for the upcoming season.

Thank you for your understanding and compliance in this matter.
